Louis is an Associate at Scherer Smith & Kenny LLP, where he advises homeowners associations, mutual benefit corporations, businesses, and individuals on real estate, corporate, and general business matters.  Louis advises homeowners association boards and officers on matters including governance, development, and enforcement.  Louis also counsels clients on general real estate transactional matters, including leasing, purchases, sale, and title issues.

Prior to joining Scherer Smith & Kenny LLP, Louis advised property owners and developers on land use and entitlement, as well as HOA formation, condominium creation, and subdivision law. Louis also has experience in the public sector, having held roles in the Cupertino City Attorney’s Office, Cupertino City Manager’s Office, San Francisco City Attorney’s Office – General Counsel Division and San Francisco Mayor’s Office.  Louis counseled elected and appointed officials, a city manager, department heads, and city staff.

Louis is a San Francisco native. When he is not practicing law or spending time with family, he is training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or on a run.
